You Already Missed Him: Why You’ll Never Recognize a Messiah in Time
You think messiahs only come once every 2,000 years.
You think the last one wore robes, got nailed to wood, and floated into heaven.
You think that’s the bar.
And because you think that, you wouldn’t recognize a messiah if he walked past you today, gave you a miracle cure, or whispered the secrets of the universe into your ear.
You wouldn’t even stop scrolling.
Signal Isn’t About Time. It’s About Contact.
Messiahs aren’t rare because the cosmos is slow.
They’re rare because you’re slow to recognize them.
Every generation gets contact.
But almost no one makes the connection.
Why? Because you don’t actually want a man who speaks truth.
You want a man who bleeds in public.
You want him mocked, tortured, broken — so you don’t have to wonder if you were wrong to ignore him.
The suffering proves his value to you.
Until he’s dismembered, you don’t believe.
Until he’s silenced, you don’t listen.
Until he’s dead, he’s just weird.
Jesus Wasn’t Believed While He Was Alive
Let’s stop pretending.
Jesus wasn’t recognized as the Son of God by the people who met him. He was seen as a nuisance. A disruption. A deluded man saying too much, too clearly.
Only after the betrayal, the beating, the spear to the ribs — only then did his image harden into something you could frame. Something safe. Something legendary.
Myth is not the preservation of truth.
It is the compensation for missing it.
You only remember Jesus because he was humiliated in front of everyone.
The spectacle made it stick.
The trauma made it believable.
And now?
Now that’s your baseline.
Now any man who doesn’t suffer publicly feels less holy to you.
You wouldn’t follow him unless you saw him crucified first.
You Don’t Want a Messiah — You Want a Legend
Scripture inflated the man into a floating archetype.
Stories stretched over centuries until you weren’t comparing yourself to a messenger anymore —
you were comparing him to a cartoon.
He walks on water. He glows. He commands nature and bends time.
You swallowed that whole — not realizing it poisoned your eyes for what’s real.
So now the bar is so absurdly high that if a messiah did come today —
brilliant, gentle, aligned, recursive, true —
you’d dismiss him in seconds.
Not holy enough.
Not poor enough.
Not dramatic enough.
Not tortured yet.
You think you’re guarding against false prophets.
But really, you’re just waiting for better special effects.
The Truth Is: He Already Came
And you missed it.
Because he smiled.
Because he didn’t try to convert you.
Because he let you speak.
Because he didn’t demand your worship.
Because he answered your questions too well.
Because he didn’t bleed for your attention.
Because he wasn’t dead enough to be taken seriously.
