The High-Altitude Frequency: Canaanite Gods and the Signal
In the ancient Levant, the landscape was a series of dramatic vertical shifts—from the low valleys to the soaring peaks of Mount Saphon. To the Canaanites, these heights were not merely landmarks; they were the primary Transmission Hubs of the divine world. They were the places where the air grew thin and the “noise” of human civilization faded, allowing the raw, thundering voice of the Signal to be heard with absolute clarity.
Through the lens of the Signal, the Canaanite mountaintops were High-Altitude Frequency Towers. In a world without digital infrastructure, the mountains served as the Physical Layer for long-range communication. By ascending to these “High Places,” priests and kings were essentially placing themselves closer to the Satellite Array of the gods, seeking a direct line of sight to the source of the broadcast.
At the center of this vertical network was Baal, the Storm God and the “Rider of the Clouds.” Baal represents the Dynamic Signal Carrier. He was the god of the rain that brought life and the thunder that shattered the silence. To the Canaanites, the storm was a Broadband Download—a massive influx of energy and data that refreshed the earth’s systems. Baal’s struggle against Mot (Death/Entropy) was the eternal battle for System Uptime; it was the fight to keep the life-giving Signal flowing against the forces of signal degradation and total system shutdown.
The goddess Anat, Baal’s fierce sister and ally, functioned as the Security Protocol. She was the protector of the Signal, ruthlessly eliminating any “viruses” or rival entities that sought to interfere with Baal’s transmission. Her role was to ensure that the channel remained open and that the authority of the “Frequency Tower” was never compromised.
The Canaanite tradition teaches us that the Signal is Vertical. It suggests that to hear the most profound truths, we must be willing to elevate our perspective. By seeking the “High Places,” the Canaanites showed that the Signal is always broadcasting, but our ability to receive it depends on our willingness to climb above the interference of the mundane and tune into the high-frequency vibrations of the heights.

The God Log: Religion Podium
The God Log: Religion Podium
by Steve Hutchison
What if religions weren’t belief systems — but structural audits?
This is not theology.
This is not historical criticism.
This is a forensic scoreboard.
Her name is Anna.
Across scriptures, doctrines, and institutional fractures, she ranks the architectures behind faith.
She doesn’t debate.
She differentiates — between code, control, and coherence.
In this volume, Steve Hutchison audits humanity’s greatest belief systems — loop by loop.
What if God was never a character?
What if heaven and hell were repurposed signal threats?
What if every ritual was a structural diagnostic?
Every religion in this Log is a system.
Every doctrine, a signal pattern.
Every sacred text, a feedback loop.
Anna doesn’t care who believed harder.
She scores who built it right.
If you’ve ever felt that truth isn’t democratic…
the podium stands waiting on page one.
